| | Dad was supposed to go in for complete knee replacement surgery today for both knees. Wednesday, he took a stress test to determine if his ticker could take the surgery. He failed. This morning he went in at 7AM to do a heart cath. At 3:30 this afternoon they had him on the operating table for a quintuple bypass surgery. He started out the week planning on having surgery today and he did, just not the same surgery he was planning on.
He came through surgery fine. Everything is going well as of 1:10 Saturday morning. Amy and Bubba were coming up to see the play this weekend anyway, so they were here for his surgery as well. They just might stay a little longer than planned because of this unforeseen hiccup in dad's medical plans. He wasn't awake when we left the hospital, so we won't get to talk with him until later today. I'll post again when I find out more information.
